If you don't mind the archaic gameplay and you're interested in an open-world game that doesn't throw a ton of busywork at you between missions, it's worth picking up.Īliens Fireteam Elite is a pretty terrific game set in the Alien universe, one that goes all in on the gung-ho power fantasy of being a Colonial Marine and throws in some tactical ideas for good measure. Beyond those glaring problems, there's still a terrific story here that takes time to weave a fascinating tale about power and trust, and visually, it's a much sharper game than the original PS3 and Xbxo 360 version.
